Hi, I'm Dana Takenaka
Dana Takenaka is one of the founders and CEO of D&M DEVELOPMENTS, an all encompassing venue for weddings, events, lodging, beauty and hospitality. Dana believes that customer service, honesty and integrity are the most valuable qualities for success in running any company or business, which she pairs with her 10+ years of entrepreneurial experience. Having started her business ownership within the beauty industry, she soon transitioned her skillset and hard working mentality towards real estate where she has been for the last 6 years.
Over those years, Dana has faced many challenges in building businesses and she has come to understand the meaning of ‘failing forward’. After retiring from the hair industry and moving on to real estate, she continued to look for ways to bring the future she dreamed of to fruition. Not only did this include endeavors within property development but also the dog rescue community. One of Dana’s long term goals is to give back to the community with a dog nonprofit inspired by her pitbull that passed away in 2019.
Dana is a born and raised Texan, first generation Korean-American and Austinite. She resides with her husband, Jeremy, and her dog, Boba. When Dana isn’t entrenched in her company, she loves to spend time enjoying the Bible, hiking, swimming, reading, spending quality time with friends, country dancing and date nights with her husband.
